Aldrich E. “Charlie” Cheatham, 89, of Malvern passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 6, 2014.
Charlie was born July 30, 1924 in Rolla, AR to Allen Edwin and Myrtle (Borland) Cheatham. Charlie enjoyed visiting flea markets and for many years he enjoyed raising Purple Martins. Charlie married Irene Smith on April 23, 1948. He retired from Reynolds Metal Co. where he had worked at the Jones Mill Plant for many years.
Charlie is predeceased by his parents; brothers, Aubrey and James “Buster” Cheatham; and sister, Agee Cummings.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 65 years, Irene Cheatham; daughters: Patricia (Bill) Bledsoe of Hot Springs, Diane (Phillip) Thompson of Malvern, and Janice (Michael) Greeno of Malvern; and four grandchildren: Dr. Andrew Bledsoe, Kelli Bates, Landon Greeno, and Logan Greeno.
Graveside services will be Monday, March 10 at 2:00 at Rockport Cemetery.
