Beatrice Porterfield

Beatrice Porterfield, 86, of Arkadelphia, was born August 24, 1927 in Sparkman, AR and died early Friday morning, March 28, 2014 at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia, AR. She was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church in Friendship, AR and the Malvern Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie Porterfield; her daughter, Bobbie Janice (Porterfield) Owen; her parents, Emery and Virgie Baker; one brother, C.W. Baker; one sister, Bonnie Garrett; and three grandchildren, Lisa and Vernon Owen, and Tina Porterfield.
She is survived by her son, Milton (Sonny) Porterfield and his wife, Janie Porterfield; four brothers, Cleo, Ed, Ralph, and Glenn Baker; five grandchildren, John Clark, Suzan Rodriguez, Ron Clark, Bill Porterfield, and Jill Owen; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 31, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Atkinson Chapel. Services will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Hollis McDermott officiating. Burial will follow at Delamar Cemetery.
