Dorothy Keenom

Dorothy Keenom, 85, of Malvern passed away May 20, 2014.
Dorothy was born August 12, 1928 in Hot Springs, AR to Forrest and Cora (McMillian) Irwin. Dorothy was a strong willed woman. She was a good mother and a good friend who loved her kids and her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to the track and the casinos. She loved her yard and could be found meticulously cleaning it up.
Dorothy is predeceased by her parents; her son, Wayne Hurst; her husband of 37 years, Joe Keenom; four brothers; and three sisters.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Joe (Karen) Keenom of Malvern; daughter, Dottie ( Ricky) Crites of Malvern; eight grandchildren, Kelly (Bruce) Savage, Scott (Dawn) Keenom, Mandy (Owen) Jones, Bryan (Caitlyn) Crites, Christa Hurst, Chad Hurst, Heath Hurst, and Heather Hurst; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2014 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Atkinson Chapel with Bro. Scott Efird officiating. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Crites, Owen Jones, Trey Jones, Scott Keenom, Chad Hurst, and Jimmy Burris. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
