    Larry Jay “Poppy” Weatherred, 71, of Haltom City, TX passed away July 28, 2014.
    Larry was born July 7, 1943 in Crowell, TX to J.B. and Frances (Tucker) Weatherred. Larry was an avid fisherman, family oriented, and he never met a stranger.
    Larry is predeceased by his parents and his loyal pet Rottweiler, Roscoe.
    Larry is survived by his wife of 39 years, Pamela Weatherred of Haltom City, TX; son, Larry Joseph “Joey” (Tammy) Weatherred of White Settlement, TX; daughter, Amanda (Cody) Weatherred of Haltom City, TX; brother, Troy Weatherred of Malvern; sisters, Joyce Farber of Malvern, and Shirley Efird of Glen Rose; and two grandchildren, Taylor Weatherred and Noah McLees.
    Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Atkinson Chapel. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Shadowlawn Cemetery.
