Jeanette Hensley Allen

Jeanette Hensley Allen, 77, of Malvern passed away October 6, 2014. Jeanette was born May 10, 1937 in Benton, AR to Porter and Alene (Cotton) Hensley. She was a good cook who loved big dinners. She enjoyed going fishing and camping and one of her favorite memories was a trip to Yellowstone National Park. Jeanette also loved watching the birds and deer. She was very devoted to her family and friends and everyone who met her loved her. She was of the Pentecostal faith.
Jeanette is predeceased by her parents; her husband of 51 years, Harry Allen; son, Randy Allen; great-grandson, Logan Denley; and her brother, Tommy Hensley.
Jeanette is survived by her son, Ronnie Allen of Dodge City, KS; daughters, Becky (Tommy) Cruse of Glen Rose, and Debbie Wallace of Malvern; brother, Louis (Brenda) Hensley of Lonsdale; sisters, Vivian Tackett and Nancy New, both of Lonsdale; ten grandchildren: JR Allen, Brandi Denley, Brandon Glenn, Brad Cruse, Crystal Looney, Rebecca Cate, Heather Allen, Randy Allen, Haileigh Cruse, and Carter Cruse; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Atkinson Chapel with Bro. Todd Bray and Bro. Kirk Gassman officiating. Burial will follow at Fairplay Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Randy Allen, Brandon Glenn, Brad Cruse, JR Allen, Clay Looney, and Jason Denley. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren.
