    • BORN: May 9, 1926
    • DIED: October 23, 2014
    • LOCATION: Malvern, Arkansas

Homer Raymond Chancellor, 88, of Malvern went to be with Jesus and our Grandma, Hazel this morning, October 23, 2014. After longing for her every day for the last six years, these two are finally together again for all eternity. We have no doubt he was greeted with open arms and the words, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” He was a man among men…honest, faithful, and good. A true lover of others, a gentle giant, a practical joker like none other with a work ethic even until age 87 that would put the youngest and strongest to shame. He gave the best hugs. He was so proud of everything we did, and supportive of every move we made. Well, Grandpa, to say we are proud of you is somehow just inadequate. We have and forever will glow when we speak your name to anyone and tell them all of our stories. To be of your seed and under your legacy is a blessing beyond words. Though we will miss him greatly, we are blessed for the 88 years he was given on this earth and honored by the life he chose to live. We love you, sweet old man. You are precious and dear.
Raymond is predeceased by his parents, Houston and Delia (Ledbetter) Chancellor; his wife of 64 years, Hazel Pauline Pilcher Chancellor; his son, Sherman Chancellor; grandson, Craig Chancellor; and seven brothers and sisters.
