Stephen Wright

Stephen Mitchel Wright, 58, of Malvern passed away May 31, 2015. Stephen was born December 12, 1956 in Jacksonville, AR to Raymond and Mary (Smith) Wright. Stephen had a very interesting sense of humor and he walked to the beat of his own drum. He loved sci-fi movies and books. He was an animal lover and had 5 fur-babies of his own. He had strong political views and was proud to be a Republican.  He was also a member of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church.

Stephen is survived by his wife of 29 years, Opal Sulton Wright of Malvern; his father and mother, Raymond and Mary Wright of Jacksonville; brothers, Mike (Jean E.) Wright of Jacksonville, and Mark Wright of Vilonia; sister, Debbie (Doyle) Parker of Conway; brothers-in-law, Troy (Deley) Sulton of North Ridgeville, OH, and Roy (Mary Jane) Sulton of Magnet Cove; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; one great-great-niece; and his 5 fur-babies.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Atkinson Chapel with Bro. Darryle Sulton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society or your local animal shelter.
