Marie Lafayette

Marie Lafayette, 72, of Malvern passed away June 17, 2015. Marie was born August 30, 1942 in Arkadelphia to Benjamin and Augusta (Thompson) Fite. Marie loved life and even though it was hard to let her go, Marie would not have wanted a life of pain and sickness.  She had a green thumb and loved her garden. She could plant a stick and it would flourish.

Marie is predeceased by her parents; 6 brothers; and 1 sister.

Marie is survived by her husband of 31 years, Lloyd Lafayette; 4 sons, James (Elaine) Barnes of Hot Springs, Daniel (Rita) Barnes of Malvern, Dean (Merlin) Barnes of Fordyce, and George Barnes of Hot Springs; 2 brothers, Marvin (Deborah) Fite of Arkadelphia, and Ronnie (Marie) Fite of Prattsville; three sisters, Fran Drake of Metairie, LA, Marcella (Alex) Ross of Arkadelphia, and Martha (Dave) Helvering of Tull, AR; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and her best friend, Lisa Coffman of Malvern.

Private family service will be held at a later date.
