    A.D. Hathcock, 87, of Ashdown passed away September 27, 2015. A.D. was born November 9, 1928 in Hot Springs County to Doc B. and Bessie (Whitley) Hathcock.  He was a hard worker who loved to be a crane operator. He loved to dance and was a cowboy at heart. He loved to hunt, travel, and fish and was always throwing his line in the trees and called it “fishing in the trees.”

     

    A.D. is survived by his sons, Darrell Wayne Hathcock (Shu) of Malvern, and Richard “Richie” Earl Hathcock of Ashdown; 4 grandchildren, Dara Casey, Stephanie Hahn, Scarlett Hathcock, and Holly Hathcock; and 5 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way.

     

    Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Gilchrist Cemetery in Friendship with Bro. Dooley Fowler officiating.

     

    Arrangements entrusted to Atkinson Funeral Home of Malvern, AR.
