  • Cleo M. Luten, 96, went to her new home on December 14, 2015. Cleo was born on March 11, 1919 to Bro. Curt and Lizzie Brannon in Quitman, AR. Cleo was a member of Donaldson Primitive Baptist Church and a faithful servant of God. She kept beautiful gardens, could cook anything to perfection and quilted the most beautiful quilts.

     

    She was met at the gates of heaven by her parents, her brother, Thurman Brannon; her grandson, Butch Harget; and her great-grandchildren, Erica Schales and David Ayala.

     

    Cleo is survived by her two sons, Carroll (Sue) Luten of Donaldson and David Luten of Summerville, SC; her daughters, Alene (Ed) Hebb of Newport, NC and Judy (Tom) Van Hollenbeck of Cadillac, MI; her brother, FO Brannon of Mt. View, AR; thirteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

     

    Services for Cleo will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 2:00pm in the Atkinson Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at noon. Officiating will be Bro. Neil Phelan with interment following the service at Ouachita Cemetery.

     

    Arrangements are entrusted to Atkinson Funeral Home in Malvern.

    O sympathy to the Families. Cleo was the cousin of some of our sisters and brothers. To us was a cousin too. We all grew up together. God Bless all of you always. Betty Holland Hainley and Audrey Holland Bradford
