    Horace Dean Williams, 88, of Donaldson passed away June 19, 2016. He was born April 15, 1928 in Malvern to W.H. and Brunett Williams. Horace loved to read, raise goats and chickens. He also liked woodworking, playing pool and playing chess. Horace also was involved in the Awana’s and had served in our US Military.

    Horace is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 50 years, Marion Marie Stembridge Williams.

    Horace is survived by his son, William Henry (Deborah) Williams of Donaldson; his daughter, LaVerne Turner of Donaldson; sisters, Syble Baker of Donaldson; and Norma Williams of Prattsville. He also leaves behind 3 grandchildren, Robert Turner, Seth Howard, Dea Howard and 1 great-grandchild James Turner.

    Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2016 from 6-8 PM at the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dooley Fowler and Pastor Dale Chance officiating. Pallbearers will be Robert Turner, Seth Howard and Mike Smith James Turner, C.C. McDonald and Jimmy Lemons. Interment will follow at Upper Antioch Cemetery.

May the God of all comfort sustain you as you await the promises found at John 5:28,29 and Rev. 21:4 where God promises to do away with all the things that cause us suffering and pain including death here on the earth forever.
