  • Evelyn Lively, 82, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, August 27, 2016.

    Evelyn was born on September 2, 1933 to Boyd and Audry Estep. Evelyn loved to quilt, sew and do crossword puzzles. She loved eating out and shopping at the mall and antique stores. Evelyn also loved Elvis and traveling to Branson with her family to see concerts. She loved taking pictures of her family and friends.  She was also a huge fan of NCIS and Wheel of Fortune. Evelyn was of the Assembly of God faith.

    Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Emmett Morgan and Sam B. Lively and one great grandchild, Lexie Lively.

    She leaves behind her sons, Charles (Cathy) Lively of Ft. Smith, AR; Alan (Emily) Lively of Carencro, LA; and Sam (Laurie) Lively of Mena, AR. Daughters, Pamela Maher Thrailkill of Ft. Smith, AR; and Kathy Ann (Edward) Padilla of Mena, AR. Sisters, Loveda Gloyne of AZ; and Carolyn Rose of Hackett, AR. Four step-sons, Dyke, Alan, Mike and Ron Lee Morgan and one step-daughter, Judy Ann Faughn.  Evelyn also leaves behind nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

    Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Justy Smith officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Shadowlawn Cemetery.

    I love you Mom and will miss you so much. I will never forget all the long conversations we had over coffee and the time we spent together. Could never ask for a better Mom than you. You are the greatest. May you rest in peace. WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!

    Dear Aunt Evelyn even though our reunion was short, I treasured every moment we shared, and the Motherly Advice you gave me when I needed it most, You made Uncle Sam's Last years happy, You are a gracious loving person. Nita my daughter was just head over heels in love with you Both. You taught your children well. To be the very best at anything they choose to do. I remember when we talked about you marrying Uncle Sam again.. and I had told you he is not the man he once was, and he never stopped loving you. My children Venita Arnold Foster and Jeremy Arnold Send their Love and enduring respect for you. Rest in Peace Aunt Evelyn. You will be greatly Missed. With much Love and Respect Your niece Bennette.
