  • Bob McDonald, 78, of Malvern passed away November 12, 2016. Bob was born to the late Donald and OvaMay McDonald on December 25, 1937 in Hot Springs AR. Bob served his country in the Korean War in the United States Air Force and liked to travel. He especially enjoyed the Black Hills of South Dakota. He was a hard worker and loved his grocery store work. Bob also worked as a bus driver for Bismarck School District for over 15 years. Bob loved to be in the kitchen and was a wonderful cook. He loved to make candy by the pound. Bob also enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching boat races.

    Bob is preceded in death by his parents.

    Bob leaves behind his wife, Bessie McDonald of Malvern; his son, Chuck McDonald (Judy) of Malvern.

    Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 5-7 PM in the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside services will be held Thursday, November 17, 2016 at  Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at 10:00 AM with Bro. Teddy Frye officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Tilley & staff, Kindred Hospice & Home Health.

    So Sorry for your loss. What a father-in-law he made. May God's comfort find you and give you peace. They are gone from use in body but not from our hearts or mind.
