    Leta Wallace 78, of Malvern went to be with the Lord on November 23, 2016.  Leta was born October 15, 1938 to James and Lela Somerville. Leta was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carthage and was also a member of the Eastern Star. Leta’s family was her life; she loved her husband and children with all her heart. Leta enjoyed flowers, reading, and growing her own vegetables. She also had a love for sewing and eating ice cream.

    Leta is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Bruce Wallace, her father, James Somerville, her mother, Lela Moore and step-father, Bill Moore, as well as her brother, Kevin Moore.

    Leta is survived by her daughter, Betty Wallace of Malvern; her sons, Bruce (Mary) Wallace of Plano, TX; William (Kassie) Wallace of Malvern; Wayne (Dawn) Wallace of Donaldson;  Irvin (Jean) Wallace of Sherman, TX; and Robert Wallace of Henderson, NV; her brother, Kerry Moore and her sister, Joyce Randall both of Okanogan, WA. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

    Visitation will be Sunday, November 27, 2016 from 6-8 PM in the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Services will be Monday, November 28, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Atkinson Chapel with Pastor William Wallace and Bro. Bart Herrington officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers are Alan Crutchfield, Kevin Crutchfield, Josh Wallace, Victor Wallace, Stephen Wallace, and Jeffery Wallace.

    To Leta's extensive and adored family: We all missed Leta at our class reunion in Okanogan this last June. She was a class favorite, very cute and very kind. We feel blessed to have had her in our lives. We send our love and condolences to all of you. Jackie Pittman Baker, Class of '56
