  • Katelyn” Katie Bug” Wilkinson, age 5, went to be with the angels on January 22, 2017.  Katelyn was born on January 12, 2012. Her favorite TV show was Dora the Explorer and favorite colors were hot pink and purple and she always loved going to work with her daddy. She was also a member of the Gospel Light Baptist Church in Malvern. Katelyn was a true gift from God whose time on this earth was too short and she will be deeply missed by all who had the great pleasure of knowing her.

    Katelyn is survived by her daddy, Andrew  Wayne Wilkinson of Malvern, her mother, Nellie Laquish Collins of Malvern; her brothers, Andrew Wayne Wilkinson Jr., Daniel Naveen Boone Wilkinson, her sisters, Amity Nichole Wilkinson, Daisy AliMay Wilkinson all of Malvern; and her grandparents, John (Jamie) Wilkinson of Donaldson; Tammy Kidder of Malvern; and Wanda (Jerry) Collins of Malvern.

    Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Malvern with Bro. Chris Thompson officiating. Pallbearers will be Anthony Price, Cantrell Johnson, Gregory Thomason, Hugo Sanchez, Toby Korsmo and JC Wilkinson. Interment will be at Francois Cemetery.

    Arrangements entrusted to Atkinson Funeral Home in Malvern.  Guests may leave online condolences at www.atkinsonfuneralhome.net

    Andrew, my heart breaks for you. I pray that God will give you strength and peace. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. She was an absolutely beautiful little girl. If I can do anything, just know I am here. God Bless you.

    And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes , and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. My deepest condolences to the Wilkinson family and those who knew I and loved Katelyn on your loss of this precious child. May these words of Revelation 21:4 give you a measure of comfort and strength to endure during this time of grief and deep sorrow.
