  • Clarence Charles (C.C.) Wood, 90, of Malvern passed away March 31, 2017 at his home in Malvern.  Clarence was born to Grover Wood and Laura Weeks in Little Rock, AR on November 3, 1926. He served his Country in the United States Navy for 22 Years and fought in many wars including WWII, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. Clarence was a family man who enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with grandchildren.

    Clarence is preceded in death by his father, Grover Cleveland Wood, his mother, Laura Belle Weeks-Smith, his sisters, Naline Meyer, Bonita Mitchell, Betty Chidester and a grandson, RJ Soignet.

    Clarence is survived by his wife of 49 years, Deloris Wood, his daughters, Linda Mills, Laura Wood, Frances “Cissy” Soignet, and Pamela House. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Billy Mills, Jennifer Maxwell, Stace Warren, Corey Soignet, Ian Oliva-Wood, Jordyn Efird, and Chad House as well as 10 great-grandchildren.

    Graveside Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the Francois Cemetery in Malvern with Bro. Ricky Poyner officiating.

    The family would like to give a Special Thanks to Hospice Home Care, especially to Bridgett, Diana, & Justin. They would also like to thank Lifenet for all the many trips getting Clarence up when he was down.
