  • Lucille Seward Pence, 91, of Antioch Community, died May 15, 2017.

    She was born July 21, 1925 in the Antioch Community in Hot Spring County to George and Sarah Seward.

    Lucille was a member of the Caddo Valley congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell C. (Whitey) Pence, her parents, eight brothers and sisters, and one grandson, Sean Pace.

    She is survived by her children, Dianna (Butch) Keen of Mt. View, AR; Joe (Freddie) Pence of Donaldson, AR; Belinda (Ronnie) Pace of Donaldson, AR; Brian Pence of Little Rock, AR; and Karen (Stanley) Phillips of Hot Springs, AR; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; eleven great- great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

    A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Caddo Valley, AR with Brother Kenneth Leverette officiating with a meal to follow service at Bar 50 Ranch on Highway 84.  A visitation with family will be held Friday, May 19, 2017 from 6 – 9 p.m. at Lucille’s home, 462 Seward Road, Donaldson, AR (Antioch Community).

    I worked with Lucille at Ouachita School. A sweet caring person. My sympathy to family.

    We are Brian's housemates and while Jayson is the only one of us to have known Ms Pence personally, we all know the fine person Brian is, which is the best testament to her we could wish to have. Our thoughts, prayers and love to all the family at this difficult time.
