    Mae Yvonne Carr, 79, of Glen Rose passed away on September 17, 2017.Yvonne was born to the late George and Mae Smoke on May 23, 1938.  Yvonne was friend to all and loved to crochet many things including newborn baby hats for hospitals. She was also the family historian who loved to talk on the phone and brag about her great-grandchildren.

    Yvonne is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Carr, her parents, George and Mae Smoke, her son, Johnny Carr, and her brother, Dale Smoke.

    Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Carlene Carr of Malvern; her grandchildren, Rebekah Rios and spouse Erik of Glen Rose; and Johnny “Frankie” Edwards of Malvern; her siblings, Sandy Griffith and spouse Farrel of Glen Rose; Jerry Smoke and spouse Lisa of Glen Rose; her sister-in- law, Aralinda of Malvern; and her great-grandchildren, Braden Matthew, Grayson Mikae and Addison Mae Rios all of Glen Rose. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends.

    Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Reyburn Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Glen Rose with Bro. Todd Bray and Bro. Don McCutcheon officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at 10:00 AM. Pallbearers will be Jason Smoke, Rusty Smoke, Tim Smoke, Cole Smoke, Joe Milam and Sammy Griffith. Honorary pallbearers are Erik Rios.

    In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family to help alleviate the cost of funeral arrangements.

    Remembering such a dear friend for many years. May the family and loved ones know that they are in our thoughts and prayers as they walk through the days of the grieving process and yet rejoice as Heaven is so much sweeter when she rejoices with her Heavenly Father.

    Sorry loss. Always remember when I was at Wal-Mart use to see. If did not see she called and if Lisa not there she asked for me. Have not seen many years but asked and wondered often how she was. Very great lady.
