    Dallas Ford Coney, 94, passed away March 4, 2018. He was born January 24, 1924, to Homer and Lucy Coney in Republican Arkansas. Dallas was of Baptist faith.  He was a contractor and served in the military during WWII in Europe. Dallas had a love for playing pool and would go to the Senior Citizens Center every day to play.  Dallas is preceded in death by a son, James Coney, a granddaughter, Shane Winstead, his brothers, Roy, Homer, W.C. Sr., J. D. and Howard. He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, his children, Homer Coney, Louise Fox, Carolyn Haynie and Shane Coney, his step-son, Kevin O’Neal (Angelia), a daughter-in-law, Mary Sue Coney, several grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren and friends.

    A Visitation will be held Thursday, March 8, 2018, from 1-2:00 p.m. at the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel in Malvern. A Graveside Service will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Malvern. Pallbearers will be Ryan O’Neal, Kyle O’Neal, Bruce Yancey, Al Littleton, Homer Coney, Michael Buckey and Todd Ross.

    The Coney family would like to send a special THANK YOU for all of the love and support that was provided to Dallas in his final days from his caregivers, Dee, Jerry and Sandy and also a big Thank You to Kindred Hospice.

    Memorials may be made to the Malvern Senior Adult Center or First Life Center.

    It's a sad thing to have Uncle Dallas pass away. He was just next to my daddy, J.D. I heard so many stories of them growing up. I know he lived a long life and we all pass on eventually, but it's still a sad, sad thing.
