  • Carolyn Lavern Hughes Frazier, 54, of Donaldson passed away January 2, 2019. Carolyn was born to Milburn and Lavern Hughes on September 7, 1964, in Hot Springs, AR. She was a member of the Prairie Bayou Church of Christ and was also a member of the Southwest Volunteer Fire Department. Carolyn loved spending her time camping, fishing, cooking and just being with her family and friends especially her granddaughter who lovingly called her “EE”. She was also looking forward to having another granddaughter in February to call her “EE”.

    Carolyn is preceded in death by her dad, Milburn Hughes; grandson, Kyler Frazier; brother-in-law, Danny Kemp; and her grandparents, Roy and Lola Mae Hughes, and Jerry and Maudie Burchfield.

    Carolyn is survived by her mom, Maudie Lavern Burchfield Hughes; daughter, Kristen Frazier; son & daughter-in-law, Nick (Katelynne) Frazier; granddaughter, Jasmine “Jazzy Mae” Frazier; sister, Lynette Kemp; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

    Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Friday, January 4, 2019, at the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel in Malvern. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019, at 2:00 pm at the Prairie Bayou Church of Christ in Bismarck with Travis Whitley and Rusty Hunter officiating. Interment will be at Prairie Bayou Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the Southwest Fire Department.

    I know Carolyn will be missed deeply. Was very hard for me to hear of her passing. Praying the LORD will lift your family and give ya'll the comfort needed as you go through this difficult time.

    Nick and Katelynne, Ours hearts go out to you both. I so enjoyed visiting with Carolyn at the Firestation Christmas Party, she will truly be missed by all.
