    James Wesley Murberger, 87, of Malvern passed away January 19, 2019. James was born to the late Sydney and Elsie Harkness Murberger on July 16, 1931, in Malvern; AR. James served our great country in the United States Army actively for 24 years, he was a Master Sargent, a Vietnam Veteran and also served three tours in Germany and one in France.

    James is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

    James leaves behind his loving wife of 66 ½ years, Shirley R. Murberger; his children, Sharon R. Sims (Larry) of Maumelle; and James R. Murberger (Susan) of Mt. Grove, MO; his brother Raymond Murberger (Dorothy); his grandchildren, Cheryl Collins (Sean), and Cory Murberger; and one great-grandchild, Ian Collins.

    Visitation will be Thursday, January 24, 2019, from 6-8pm at the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel in Malvern. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 25, 2019, at 10:00 am at the Atkinson Chapel with Reverend Jack Schoeppey officiating. Interment will be at Fairplay Cemetery.
