  • Agnes Odessia Thomason, 90, of Malvern, Arkansas passed away February 9, 2019. Odessia was born to the late S.A. Wallis and Mabelle Hendrix on December 14, 1928, in Oklahoma. Odessia loved spending time with her family, along with being outdoors, bird watching, and tending to her flowers.

    Odessia is preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Dale Thomason, daughter; Wanda Gail Thomason, along with 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

    Odessia is survived by her sons, Dale Calvin Thomason JR and Basil Allen Thomason (Martha), and daughter, Susan Denise Sharpe (Bradley); sister, Amoleta Nix, along with 8 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

    Visitation will be held Thursday, February 14, 2019, from 4 to 6 pm at the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel. Services will be held Friday, February 15, 2019, at 2 pm at the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel with Sam Carmon officiating. Pallbearers will be Phillip Thomason, Chris Thomason, Will Thomason, David Thomason, and Eben Thomason, and CJ Sherman. Interment will follow services at the Fairplay Cemetery.

    Greg and family I am so sorry to hear bout Ms Odessa she was a wonderful lady .I so much enjoyed getting to talk to her a while back. Ms Odessa will be greatly missed. Heaven has gained another angel and she is with Mr Dale again . Love y’all .
