  • Lora Jean Brooks of Malvern Arkansas, formerly of Norton Canton, Ohio passed away March 29, 2019.

    Lora was born to Charles and Etta Brooks in Charleston, West Virginia on July 21, 1964.

    She worked in the state of Florida and was a talented artist who enjoyed sketching; however, the majority of her time was devoted to raising her beloved sons.

    Lora is survived by her loving companion Jose, his son, Carlos, her sons, Logan, Josh, and Luke; parents, sister, Rhonda; and brother David.

    Funeral Services will be held 2:30 pm on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel in Malvern with Reverend Adam Gooding officiating.

    Interment will be at a later date in Oak Hill, West Virginia.

    Arrangements entrusted to Atkinson Funeral Home in Malvern.

    Lora will be missed by many and knowing and loving her like a Sister was one of the greatest gifts God has ever given me. Lora you will be missed but never forgotten, we had a bond and love that few could only have wished for in a lifetime. I love you to the moon and Heavens and so much more. I was visited by a beautiful yellow butterfly today and I know it was you,I love you..XOXO

    I am so sorry for your loss. I have loved Lora for almost as long as I can remember. We recently reconnected and spent hours on the phone laughing and reminiscing. I am so grateful for that time but am also so sad that it was our last time. I know from that call how much she loved all of her family, especially her three sons and stepson.
